Nike in smelly situation

When a pair of Nike Total 90 and Mercurial where returned because they were too smelly and it was reported on watchdog, hundreds of consumers came forward with the same problem. The problem being that the Total 90 and Mercurial stank of cat wee. After watchdog reported on and confronted Nike, refunds were given to some. However, more people who came forward said they had been refused a refund because their trainers either weren’t smelly enough, or were not the right range.

Nike have re-iterated to sports chains staff, and their own store staff that smelly Total 90 and Mercurial are to receive refunds, but no other range. And also they have stated that the staff have to make their own decisions and so if the staff don’t think they are smelly enough then its on them rather than Nike themselves.
