Don’t cut on pet insurance in the recession
People are urged not to cancel their pet insurance in the recession. If pet insurance is cancelled consumers are forced to have a beloved pet put to sleep because they can no longer afford the vets fees.
Pet insurance provides the security that if your animal was to get into some form of accident, the treatment is covered. If the animal is not insured the owner must fork up the fees themselves or have the animal put to sleep as this is the only option affordable.
Many pets are being abandoned because the owner can no longer afford vets fees. Research done by the R.S.P.C.A. shows that there has been a
“57% increase in animals abandoned in the last 12 months”
Pet insurance policies can start at £5 per month and will keep your animal in the treatment may they require it.
