Compensation and Claims - A Summary

The Compensation Order sets out the regulations for claims management services and also the type of compensation claims that will be scrutinised under Part 2 of the 2006 Act.

This includes claims relating to personal injury; criminal injuries compensation; employment; housing disrepair; claims in relation to certain financial products or services; and industrial injuries disablement benefits. Any person providing a claims management service in the regulated areas will need to be authorised, exempt by Order or have the benefit of a waiver.
